Services

At ESBH Crossroads Care, we put our clients first.
We respect each person's unique situation and background, and we empower individuals to make their own choices.

Our services are designed to give carers a well-deserved break while ensuring the safety, dignity, and independence of those they care for. We value privacy and strive to accommodate individual preferences, cultures, and beliefs. We involve both carers and the people they care for in the care planning process. As a CQC-regulated service, you can be confident in the quality of care we provide.

Once the referral has been received a Care Manager will contact you to book in a convenient time to meet with you and the person you care for to put together an individualised support /care plan and to risk assessment.

We always encourage people to maximise their own abilities and skills, helping them to remain as independent as possible for as long as possible. Funding and availability for services may vary per location. Please contact us for more information.

Carers' Respite: taking a break from your caring role

Here at East Sussex, Brighton & Hove Crossroads Care, we understand the importance of self-care for unpaid carers.

Working with you and your loved ones, we create a person-centred plan to ensure their individual needs are met We always encourage people to maximise their own abilities and skills, helping them to remain as independent as possible for as long as possible. What works best will depend on your circumstances and those of the person you care for.

Carers: My Health Matters

Healthcare appointment service

This service is currently only available to Brighton & Hove residents.

Often Carers are often so busy looking after someone else and making sure they get to their appointments that they neglect their own health needs. We’ve even heard of Carers having to put off having much needed operations because there simply wasn’t anyone they trusted to look after the person they care for.

If you need to attend a healthcare or hospital appointment, but you can’t leave the person you care for, East Sussex, Brighton & Hove Crossroads Care can help. We provide FREE respite care for people in this situation, jointly funded by Brighton & Hove City Council and the NHS.

"I no longer miss appointments and it gives me peace of mind. I recently had an operation and crossroads covered this. I don’t have to worry."

Training courses

You can also use this service to attend training or courses that will help you in your caring role, such as counselling or first aid training, carer’s meetings and the health walks around the city.

Please contact the Carers Hub on 01273 977000 or [email protected] for more information about training courses and carers’ meetings. Visit the healthy lifestyles team to find out more about health walks.
